Put simply, I've had a life of many career and personal experiences. I value connection, purpose and fulfillment. No, this is not a dating bio.
I’ve been through some shit and that helps me to be a patient and empathetic listener for my clients. I respect other people’s values, experience and life story because that makes us who we are: unique, interesting, individuals. But I have learnt from bitter sweet trial and error that we can't do everything alone, we need some help along the way. That is where I come in.
My coaching philosophy
I believe many of us don't give enough focus to the many strengths and successes we have as individuals, but instead can be overly critical and shame ourselves. Too often we care too much about what other people think and act according to others wishes, rather than pursuing a path that is authentic to us. As a result, we act out of line with our values and fall short of fulfilling our full potential.
Many types of therapy and training focus on a individual’s issues. This can be helpful in developing an understanding of how they came about, but can run the risk of getting stuck in the past and not producing a solution for the future.
I offer strength-focused coaching that helps build the emotional and mental skills to live a purposeful and value driven life. Strength-focused coaching differs to the aforementioned therapy styles by concentrating on your strengths first and foremost. Together we look at previous challenges and successes that have shaped where you are today. It is an empowering style of coaching that takes in the present and looks toward the future, rather than lingering in the past.
